At Quality Firewood Ltd. we are committed to providing reliable, safe, and efficient firewood delivery services. The following policy outlines our delivery procedures to ensure clarity and fairness for all customers.
Delivery Access
Customers are responsible to ensuring safe and suitable access to the delivery location. Limited access, soft ground, steep driveways, or restricted turning space may affect where our vehicles can safety deliver. *Please note we do offer a 4WD tipper ute for properties with limited access.
Where necessary, firewood will be delivered to the closet safe and accessible area.
Customer-Requested Delivery Changes
If a customer requests to change or postpone their delivery date, including requests made due to wet weather, the delivery will be rescheduled to the next available delivery slot. As delivery routes are planned in advance, rescheduled deliveries are placed at the end of the current delivery schedule to ensure fairness and efficiency for all customers.
At our busiest times this could be a delay of a couple of weeks before we are able to next schedule your delivery.

In rare circumstances where delivery is not possible or safe, we may need to reschedule. Customers will be contacted as soon as practicable to arrange an alternative delivery date.
Firewood Quality
We work to maintain high Quality standards, while care is taken during transport, deliveries completed during wet weather may result in external moisture. Responsibility for correct storage at your property rests with the customer, this will ensure your firewood remains in optimal condition.
No, it is not necessary to be at home, We do however ask if you can advice us of any animals (for example dogs) on the property that we should be aware of. We need to be able to access your driveway or delivery location safely and want to make sure we don't leave gates open so animals escape.

When it comes to firewood size, we give you a variety of sizes for all stages of fire fueling. We do our best to keep the sizing within a certain range (approximately 30-35cm) but sometimes there will be some ugly ducklings in your load such as short or long pieces, skinny or chunky.
We recommend keeping an axe handy just in case there are a couple of pieces that need splitting.
Short and skinny pieces are great as an intermediate wood between kindling and chunky bits, which is a vital phase of getting the fire going and keeping smoke levels down.
No, we take care when hand loading our delivery trucks to minimize the amount of bark/wood chips. This means we remove majority of the smaller fragments that come about from processing the firewood.
Please note some wood types will naturally shed some wood/chip during the delivery process, however this will be a very minimal amount.
We aim to provide high quality, clean firewood.
It is exactly as it sounds, Semi-Seasoned Firewood you can purchase at a reduced rate during our off-peak season (Sept-March).
When purchasing DIY Firewood you take full responsibility to ensure optimum drying conditions.
-Stacked in a well-ventilated area that allows optimum air flow and sunlight to continue the drying process.
Our firewood's moisture content is carefully measured to ensure appropriate moisture levels. DCC stipulation for dry firewood is under 25% moisture.
Our firewood is naturally dried outdoors and then carefully shed stored over the winter months to allow us to provide the highest quality firewood.
